How installed cost is estimated
List price is not the invoice. For hard-shell capsules the realistic installed figure adds the options most buyers actually order: an oxygen concentrator, cooling, and delivery. That lands 10 to 20% above list, per the same manufacturer price lists the index cites. Where we cannot support an estimate yet, the row says TBD instead of guessing. How rows earn their place
A row enters the index when we have a named source: a manufacturer price list, a published retail price, or a documented quote. Forum chatter and vendor claims do not qualify. If a price on this page is wrong, tell us and we will correct it publicly, per our corrections policy.
Frequently asked
How often is the Price Index updated?
Quarterly at minimum, and whenever a manufacturer publishes a new price list. Every row shows the month its numbers were last checked.
Why do some models say TBD or quote-based?
Because we only print numbers we can source. Some manufacturers sell on quote only; those rows stay open until we can verify a real transaction range.
