How verification works
For each brand we start from its own marketing claims, then look for the document that would make the claim true: an FDA 510(k) entry, a CE technical file, a pressure test report. What we find goes in the middle column, in plain language. What we cannot find stays labeled as claimed. The status column is the summary: Verified, Partially verified, or In progress.
Why this exists
Certification claims in this market are marketing copy more often than they are paperwork. Buyers spending $50,000 or more deserve the receipts, so we are building them into one neutral table, brand by brand. The same checks feed the safety criteria in how we score.

What does FDA-cleared actually mean for hyperbaric chambers?
Clearance is for specific devices and specific uses. Soft-shell chambers are cleared for acute mountain sickness only. Clinical HBOT at higher pressures uses different devices cleared for medical indications. A clearance for one thing is routinely marketed as a blessing for everything, which is the problem this page exists to fix.
What does In progress mean?
It means we have not finished checking, so we say that instead of pretending. Each row moves to Verified only when we can cite a registry entry or document.
