The scores side by side
Both brands are scored on the same 27 criteria, and both reviews publish five sub-scores. The numbers below are copied from the OxyHelp review and the OxyHealth review. Nothing on this page changes them.

| Sub-score | OxyHelp OxyLife I90 | OxyHealth Fortius 420 | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Safety & certs | 95/ 100 | 93/ 100 | +2 OxyHelp |
| Build quality | 90/ 100 | 88/ 100 | +2 OxyHelp |
| Oxygen delivery | 89/ 100 | 85/ 100 | +4 OxyHelp |
| Warranty & service | 92/ 100 | 86/ 100 | +6 OxyHelp |
| True cost | 88/ 100 | 69/ 100 | +19 OxyHelp |
Sub-scores from the two review pages; overall scores from the scorecard. The gap column is simple subtraction.
The two chambers are two points apart on safety and on build, four apart on oxygen delivery, six apart on warranty and service, and 19 apart on true cost. True cost is the largest gap by some distance.
What each review says behind the numbers
Each review lists its own pros and cons. Set side by side, they read like this:
| OxyHelp OxyLife line | OxyHealth Fortius 420 | |
|---|---|---|
| Pros | Aluminum shells tested to 150 kPa, operating at 50 kPa above ambient; automatic ear pressure relief and O2/CO2 monitoring standard on every model; modular C-series install | 3.0 ATA capability, the highest on our scorecard; deep US service network and parts availability |
| Cons | No 3.0 ATA option; EU manufacture means longer lead times to North America than domestic brands | Quote-based premium pricing, with no verified price published; single-piece hulls need serious building access |
Pros and cons quoted from the two review pages.
The OxyHealth review also says it is spec-and-market based, with a hands-on evaluation scheduled, and that scores will be re-verified after it.
Pressure: 1.5 ATA vs 3.0 ATA
This is the clearest difference between the two, and it is a difference in kind. Every OxyLife model, from the I80 capsule to the six-seat C5, operates at the same 1.5 ATA. The Fortius 420 is listed at 3.0 ATA. Our pressure guide sets out the three tiers of this market: soft shells near 1.3 ATA, hard-shell wellness chambers at 1.5, and 2.0 to 3.0 ATA for physician-supervised medical protocols. The UHMS definition of hyperbaric oxygen, cited in our PVHO-1 guide, calls for not less than 2.0 ATA. How the two settings differ is in our mild vs medical guide.
The OxyHelp review puts it plainly: moving up that range buys seats and volume, not pressure. If a protocol you care about specifies 2.0 ATA or higher, no OxyLife model reaches it.
Price and what we can verify
| OxyHelp OxyLife I90 | OxyHealth Fortius 420 | |
|---|---|---|
| List price | $58,500 | Quote-based |
| Realistic installed | $64,000 to $70,000 | TBD |
| Source | OxyHelp 2026 USD price list | Manufacturer sells on quote only |
| Checked | Sept 2026 | Aug 2026 |
From the Hyperbaric Price Index, unchanged.
The true cost sub-scores are 88 and 69. The OxyHealth review gives its reason as a con: quote-based premium pricing, with no verified price until we can verify one. OxyHelp publishes a USD price list, and its options are priced separately: air conditioning at $4,150, automated oxygen control at $2,400 plus $720 per seat, and UPS backup from $1,080 to $2,880, among others. The full itemization is in the cost guide.
Delivery and installation
The reviews point in opposite directions here. OxyHelp's C-series clinic chambers assemble from modules that pass through normal building access, with no crane and no wall demolition. Its home capsule arrives in one piece, and the I90 shell is 985 mm across the outside, so the door has to clear that, as our space and power guide sets out. The OxyHealth review lists install logistics as a con: single-piece hulls need serious building access. We hold no published dimensions for the Fortius 420.
What delivery day involves for any hard shell is in our guide to delivery and installation.
Certifications on record
| Brand | Claims | What we verified | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| OxyHelp | CE marking; EU manufacture; hard shells tested above operating pressure | Manufacturer engineering documentation reviewed during scoring. Public registry cross-check in progress. | Partially verified |
| OxyHealth | FDA-cleared devices used in clinical settings at up to 3.0 ATA | Clearance paper trail consistent with insurance-billed clinical use. Registry numbers being compiled. | Partially verified |
From the Hyperbaric Certification Database, unchanged.
The two brands sit under different systems. OxyHelp claims CE marking, the EU route explained in our CE marking guide. OxyHealth claims FDA-cleared devices, the US route explained in FDA cleared vs registered. Both rows are partially verified, so neither registry check is finished.
Who each one is scored for
The reviews already say who each chamber suits, and this page repeats them rather than adding a new verdict.
- OxyHelp, per its review: home users who want hard-shell safety engineering without US-medical pricing, and clinics that need modular installation. Not for anyone needing 3.0 ATA medical protocols, or anyone on a sub-$20k budget.
- OxyHealth, per its review: medical practices that need 3.0 ATA capability, US-based service, and the certification paper trail that insurance-billed treatment requires. Not for home buyers and wellness studios, who would pay a medical-market premium for pressure most wellness protocols never use.
The full ranking, with the other two chambers we score, is on the scorecard. How the safety sub-score is built is in our guide to the safest hyperbaric chamber.
What we have not verified
- A price for the Fortius 420. OxyHealth sells on quote, and we publish no number until we can verify one.
- Dimensions and weight for the Fortius 420.
- Registry entries for OxyHelp's CE marking and OxyHealth's FDA clearances.
- Lead times and service response for either brand in North America.
- Hands-on testing of either chamber.
If you hold a document that settles any of these, the corrections page says how to send it.
