What portable actually means
In this market, portable is a spectrum with three honest points on it. A soft shell folds into a duffel and travels. A hard-shell capsule on casters rolls between rooms and survives a house move with professional help. A multiplace chamber goes where the rigging crew puts it and stays there. Every product page that says portable means one of these three things, and the price tells you which.
The numbers that matter
Skip the brochure adjectives and check four numbers against your actual space: weight, width, door clearance along the delivery path, and electrical draw.

The C-series line deserves a note here: the modules are 76 cm wide, which means a multi-seat clinic chamber can enter a building through ordinary doors and get assembled in place. That is not portability for you, but for a clinic in a leased space it is the difference between a delivery and a construction project.
Soft shells: the genuinely portable option
If travel is the actual requirement, a soft shell is the only honest answer, and you accept 1.3 ATA as part of the deal. The tradeoffs are covered properly in hard shell vs soft shell. What you should not do is pay hard-shell money for a product whose main selling point is a zipper.
Before you buy
Measure the delivery path, not just the room: every door, stair, and turn between the truck and the final position. Check the floor if you live above a ground floor, because 195 kg concentrated on four casters is fine for concrete and worth a question for old joists. And get the electrical requirement in writing before the chamber ships, not after. Can a hyperbaric chamber fit through a normal door?
The OxyLife I80 capsule is 841 mm wide, which clears a standard 36-inch exterior door with room to spare and most 32-inch interior doors. Measure your narrowest doorway and any turns in the hallway before ordering. Good vendors ask for a floor plan; the best ones do a site assessment.
Do portable chambers need special electrical work?
The single-person capsules run on ordinary household circuits at about 2 kW peak, similar to a space heater. Multi-seat C-series chambers want 230/240V circuits and up to 3.5 kW, which usually means an electrician visit.
