How We Score

Every product in every category is scored on the same 27 criteria, whether or not the brand has a referral relationship with us. Scores are set before commercial conversations, and no brand can pay to change one.

The result is The Vault Score, a whole number out of 100, rendered the same way everywhere it appears. When a score changes, the page says what changed and why, and corrections are dated and public.

The 27 criteria, six groups

  • Safety & certifications: shell geometry, pressure testing, clearance status, verified against registries, not brochures
  • Build: materials, manufacturing origin, quality control
  • Oxygen delivery: concentrator design, flow stability, monitoring
  • Ownership: warranty terms, service network, parts availability
  • True cost: installed price with the options a real buyer needs
  • Experience: comfort, noise, controls, session ergonomics

Evidence standards

We photograph, measure, and document the equipment we score, and we say plainly when a score is spec-and-market based ahead of a hands-on evaluation. Claimed figures carry the word claimed until we verify them. Health claims are cited to published research and hedged to what the evidence supports.

The fee firewall

When you ask for an introduction through Get Matched, the seller may pay us a referral fee. The fee never changes the score, and we disclose it on every page where it applies. The full model is on How we make money.
